- Open Graph tags control the preview shown whenever a link is pasted anywhere, including Slack, iMessage, WhatsApp, and internal company chat tools, not only public social feeds. Without og:title, og:description, and og:image, a shared link shows a blank or generic preview regardless of who is sharing it.
